A Day of Learning and Fun!

Offering educational field trips to pre-school and elementary-age students is a great joy for us at Autumn Moon Family Farm. 

We believe it’s important to introduce all children to agriculture as part of their heritage and their future, and we do so in a fun, unique and engaging way!

  • A classroom field trip is for children age 3 – 13 (pre-school through 6th grade) enrolled in a public school, private school, preschool or child day care.
  • At least 20 children, ages 3 and up, and one teacher are required for the school group field trip rate.
  • Teachers must accompany the class.
  • Rates for classroom field trips are available Monday – Friday from 9am to 2pm, only when schools are in session.
  • Field Trips are available Sept. 29th – Oct. 30th.
  • Reservations are required.

About Field Trips

Field Trips Include:

  • Over 35 + Attractions on the farm! (The Honey Bee Line is Not included and some of the props may not be active).
  • A FREE pie pumpkin for each (paid) child.
  • Picnic area for students to eat lunch.
  • A field trip can last up to a Max of 3 hours.
  • Only Teachers and Staff (on school payroll) are FREE.
  • We recommend bringing & wearing your school ID badges at Autumn Moon Family Farm.
  •  Parents/Adult Chaperones/Volunteers/Or Siblings age 3 and up pay regular admission ($16/person). These guests must pay separately at the admission stand. (no FREE pumpkin).
  • Circus Themed Trail – The Teacher/Chaperone and students may walk this trail TOGETHER. (Students may NOT walk this trail alone.)
  • *New* Activity Packet – for each student (provided to teacher).

Field Trip Rules

Checking In & Payment:

  • Accepted Payment: We will accept a school check, credit card, or cash, but it needs to be counted and include all that are attending.
  • School checks should be made out to Autumn Moon Family Farm.
  • Checking In: One teacher should check in at the Admission Stand with the school’s name, their name, the student count, Staff count (on school payroll), and payment.
  • Please have additional staff unload the children and have them line up near the entrance.
  • Additional Staff, Parents & Siblings (Not Included in the school count) must pay separately for themselves at the Admission Shed. (The cost per additional adult/sibling is $16/person.) Siblings age 2 and under are FREE. (Does not include a free pumpkin).
  • To receive the field trip rate, the total bill must be paid in a single payment by the school.

What To Wear:

Please remind parents of the importance of dressing appropriately. Students may need to wear boots, coats, hats, or gloves.

What to Bring:

  • Bring cold sack lunches, if eating at the farm. 
  • Bring a cooler with 2 water bottles /child. 
  • During field trips our food shed is only open with minimal options.

Please be aware that we book multiple tours on the same day, but rest assured, there's plenty of space for everyone!
