A Day of Learning and Fun!

Offering educational field trips to pre-school and elementary-age students is a great joy for us at Autumn Moon Family Farm. 

We believe it’s important to introduce all children to agriculture as part of their heritage and their future, and we do so in a fun, unique and engaging way!

  • A classroom field trip is for children age 3 – 13 (pre-school through 6th grade) enrolled in a public school, private school, preschool or child day care.
  • At least 20 children, ages 3 and up, and one teacher are required for the school group field trip rate.
  • Teachers must accompany the class.
  • Rates for classroom field trips are available Monday – Friday from 9am to 2pm, only when schools are in session.
  • Field Trips are available Oct. 1st – Oct. 25th.
  • Reservations are required.

About Field Trips

Field Trips Include:

  • Over 35 attractions on the farm! (The zipline is not available).
  • School staff and students get a free apple cider donut.
  • There is a picnic area for students to eat lunch.
  • A field trip can last up to 3 hours.
  • Only teachers and staff wearing a school ID are free.
  • Parents, adult chaperones, volunteers, and siblings aged 3 and up pay admission ($12/person). These guests must pay separately at the admission stand.
  • Creepy themed trail – The teacher/chaperone and students can walk this trail together. (Students cannot walk this trail alone.)
  • Activity packet provided to the teacher.

Field Trip Rules

Checking In & Payment:

  • Payment Options: We accept school checks, credit cards, or cash. Please include the total number of attendees.
  • School checks should be made out to Autumn Moon Family Farm.
  • Check-In: One teacher should check in at the Admission Stand with the school’s name, their name, the number of students, staff members (paid by the school), and payment.
  • Have extra staff to help unload the children and line them up at the entrance.
  • Additional Staff, Parents & Siblings (not included in the school total) need to pay separately at the Admission Shed. The cost is $12 for each extra adult/sibling. Siblings aged 2 and under are free.
  • To receive the field trip rate, the total amount must be paid in one payment by the school.

What To Wear:

Please remind parents of the importance of dressing appropriately. Students may need to wear boots, coats, hats, or gloves.

What to Bring:

  • Pack cold lunches if you plan to eat at the farm.
  • Bring a cooler with 2 water bottles per child.
  • Our food shed might be open with limited choices. Please ask ahead of time.
